President “Urals” Grigory Ivanov in an interview with , he admired the age of the founder of Moscow “Spartacus” Nikolai Starostin in which he worked as the head of the red-white team.
Nikolai Starostin is one of the four brothers who founded Spartak. Until his death at the age of 93, the patriarch of the Moscow club was at the helm of the team.
Ivanov has been president of the Urals since 2003. In addition, the 61-year-old head of the club holds the position of team leader and is on the bench during matches.
– Have you decided yourself when you will find a successor in the club?
– There is no. Our team represents the Sverdlovsk region, tomorrow the head of the region will come and say: “Grigory Viktorovich, you are already tired of everyone, come on, get out of football” (laughing). Of course, I will be offended, but I understand that sooner or later I will have to leave my post. It’s better that it happens latersmiling).
– Can you imagine yourself at 80 on the bench of the “Urals”?
– Beautiful! Thank you for giving me so much, I would be delighted at this age to be alongside the team (smiling). We saw in what years at Spartak Nikolai Petrovich and Andrei Petrovich Starostin were with the club. May God grant me to live to their age.
