Cristiano, Kane, Neuer and Lukaku belong in Qatar: European powerhouse World Cup rosters

This Thursday, the summoned lists of Portugal, England, Germany and Belgium for the World Cup were known. The delivery of the call for Spain is scheduled for this Friday.

This Thursday was a day full of World Cup paydays. There were several selections that revealed their rosters for the Qatar World Cup, which begins next Sunday, November 20. The European powers, called to be the protagonists of the World Cup, have announced the players who will represent them in the Middle East.

This was the case of Portugal . Coach Fernando Santos made the call for 26 players, led by Cristiano Ronaldo , which will play the planetary event for the fifth time. The Manchester United striker was already part of the squad in Germany 2006, South Africa 2010, Brazil 2014 and Russia 2018. Additionally, the Portuguese squad boasts important names such as Pepe, Bruno Fernandes, Bernardo Silva and Joao Felix.

Before, through a video, England have revealed their squad of 26 for the World Cup. Finally, the absence of Chelsea’s Reece James through injury has been confirmed. Gareth Southgate has called up three right-backs: Trent Alexander-Arnold, Kieran Trippier and Kyle Walker. The latter, from Manchester City, was in doubt but was finally called. Of the 26, the only one not to play in the Premier League is Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham.

For its part, the German team called up their best contingent, except for the forced losses of the injured Timo Werner and Marco Reus. Coach Hansi Flick’s surprise is the call-up of Mario Götze, who had been out of the national team for five years. The former Dortmund is the one who gave the 2014 World Cup to Brazil at the Mannschaft, in extra time against Argentina.

Another UEFA powerhouse that has released their squad list is Belgium . The second in the FIFA rankings, behind Brazil, summoned all the members of his golden generation, who will have the last chance to win a trophy.
