Women’s national team of Ukraine lost in beach soccer Netherlands in the match for third place in the tournament Neom Beach Soccer Cup 2022 in Saudi Arabia – 2:3.
The Ukrainians conceded twice already in the first period, and in the middle of the second 12-minute period they lost 0:3. Miroslava Vypasnyak and Anastasia Kalyagina managed to win back two goals, but the blue-and-yellows could not achieve more.
On the eve of the Ukrainians defeated their current rivals (6:0) in the third round of the group round and took third place in the group. The teams played four matches in four days, which, together with the short bench of the Ukrainian national team, resulted in excessive fatigue.
Brazil and England will meet in the final of the tournament. A day earlier, the Brazilian national team beat the English 4:3, and took first place in the group.
The Ukrainian national team ranks fifth in the world ranking of women’s beach soccer. In September, Ukrainians won a ticket to the 2023 World Beach Games.
