2-1, Canada defeats Brazil and gets unbeaten in friendly

In the first of the friendlies against Canada, Brazil lost 2-1 at Vila Belmiro, with goals from Zadorsky and Leon, for the visitors, and Debinha

This Friday, the 11th, the Brazilian Team and the Canadian team held a friendly for the women’s categories, preparatory to the 2023 World Cup. The match took place in Vila Belmiro, and ended in a Canadian victory by 2 to 1, with goals from Shelina Zadorsky and Adriana Leonto Canada, and from Debinhafor Brazil.

Field teams

The match started off hectic, with both teams attacking a lot and trying to finish. In the 21st minute, the Canadian team opened the scoring in a corner caused by a defensive error by the Brazilian team. With a lot of space between the lines in the defensive transition, Brazil conceded the dead ball.

In a rehearsed play, after an air ball to Zadorsky, the Canadian defender headed it, finishing from cover to make it 1-0. A few minutes later, the US team extended the lead. In another play originated by a corner, sinclair header, Leon takes the leftover first and makes the submission, which goes straight through the Brazilian defense.

In the 33rd minute, however, the Brazilian team managed to reduce the advantage of the opponents.
