Lampard: When we scored the second goal, the game should have been stopped

Everton manager unhappy with referee’s decision

Everton head coach Frank Lampard commented on the defeat from Bournemouth (0:3) in the 16th round of the Premier League. The coach complained about the decisions of the referee during the second goal scored against his team.

“It was a bad performance and a bad result. The second goal was not supposed to take place. The defender went down with a head injury and the game had to be stopped.”

“The referee made a mistake in this episode, but it doesn’t matter anymore. We reacted incorrectly, it was difficult for us to bounce back after 0-2 in the away match.

Ukrainian defender Irisok Vitaliy Mykolenko entered the field in the match with Bournemouth in the starting lineup. However, even in the first half, the player was injured in the junction with Moore, because of which he left the field in the 30th minute.

Everton dropped to 17th in the standings. In the next round, Lampard’s team will host Wolves on December 26.
