Abel Ferreira talks about defeat in the last round and fight for titles

Palmeiras coach, Abel Ferreira spoke about the constant fight for titles and Alviverde’s defeat to Internacional: “I don’t have the courage to say anything”

In the last round of the Brasileirão, the palm trees was defeated by International, by 3 to 0, in Beira Rio. The colorada victory ended the longest undefeated sequence by a visitor in the history of the Brasileirão, marking the third defeat by alviverde in 38 rounds. Verdão, however, was crowned champion with four games in advance.

The Coach Abel Ferreira commented on the defeat, but without much criticism to be made to the champion squad. 🇧🇷This team is capable of doing things that nobody expects, it has already proven that. Summarizing this championship, I think the quality of the vice-leader was very evident and this makes the quality of our competition evident. We didn’t play a good game today, but I don’t have the courage to say anything to the players because of the pride I feel for everything we’ve done in this competition.”said the Portuguese.

🇧🇷As long as there are consecutive points, a team has never suffered just three defeats. We know how much we celebrated on Thursday, we deserved it and I told the players I don’t have the heart to say anything, we played an immaculate competition and we knew it was going to be a tough game“, continued.

🇧🇷It’s congratulating our opponent, he made an extraordinary second round. What about second place? Amazing. And what about the champion? stay for you”, added Abel, valuing his team’s conquest and the runner-up campaign.

The Palmeiras coach also commented on the desire to keep the team fighting for titles, valuing the club’s pieces. 🇧🇷You know better than me how hard it is to win consecutively, you saw Mano’s last interview how much Palmeiras motivates other teams. I knew they wouldn’t make it easy, they played a great game and had a deserved victory. Since we won the first Libertadores, we’ve won five more titles, we’ve lost four finals and we’ve been to all the finals.”said.

🇧🇷Here you talk a lot about the team to fight, we are very sorry for that. The challenge is always high, our obligation is to continue to do the same, but better. Viña left, we found a solution. Veiga felt it, we found a solution. We didn’t have a striker and we looked for a solution. Endrick will be with us and will have competition from Rony, López, Navarro, who will be better than this year”, concluded the coach.
