Athletico-PR: Felipão exalts victory and talks about the end of his career

Commander of Athletico-PR, Felipão celebrated the team’s classification for Libertadores and opened the game about the end of his activities as a coach

Felipetechnician of Athletico-PRpraised the victory obtained in the Brasileirão against Botafogo, valid for the last round of the tournament. The 3-0 result at Arena da Baixada gave Hurricane a place in the Liberators of 2023🇧🇷 Under the circumstances, the commander showed satisfaction with his work at the club.

Regarding his cycle as a coach in Athletico-PRwhich was also his last job at the position (once he announced his retirement), was candid: “It ends in a good way, with the promise I made to the president. I was very happy. That was my life and it ended very well. I lived everything I didn’t expect to win in football”.

Despite the announcement of his retirement, Felipão does not intend to leave football permanently: at Rubro-Negro itself, he will assume the position of technical director. “I’m asked by the children to stop everything, just ‘wandering around’, but I can’t. One of the things I want is for teams to know how to dribble. Brazilian football is like that and it’s not just a tactical scheme”.

Athletico-PR’s victory over Botafogo that marked Felipão’s last match as a coach took place this Sunday, the 13th.
