Brodsky was re-elected as President of the Basketball Federation of Ukraine

He will lead domestic basketball for the next five years.

Mikhail Brodsky re-elected President of the Basketball Federation of Ukraine for the next five years during today’s FBU Congress.

The current president of the FBU was the only candidate for the position. 33 delegates voted for his re-election, 0 against and abstained. Mikhail Brodsky has been heading the FBU since 2015.

Vladimir Drabikovsky was elected FBU Secretary General, who will continue to work in this post. Valery Kondratiev (club basketball), Sergey Lishchuk (children’s basketball) and Nikolai Tomenko (grassroots basketball) became FBU vice-presidents.

Earlier it was reported that Stanislav Medvedenko will not participate in the elections for the post of President of the Basketball Federation of Ukraine.

There was also information that the honorary president of the Basketball Federation of Ukraine Oleksandr Volkov would apply for the post of president of the FBU.

Recall that the season in the Superleague was overshadowed by the scandalous confrontation between the FBU and BC Prometheus. The club did not confirm its participation in the championship of Ukraine without paying the entry fee. Instead of 40 thousand hryvnia, the FBU demands 4.5 million from Prometheus. FBU President Brodsky explained why such a sum.
