Former Santos manager Orlando Rollo is arrested after police operation

This Friday, the 18th, the former president of the saints🇧🇷 Orlando Rollo, was arrested in connection with the operation against drug trafficking and crimes against the public administration carried out by the Internal Affairs Division of the Civil Police and the Special Action Group for Repression of Organized Crime (Gaeco). In addition to six search and seizure warrants, six arrest warrants were issued by the Justice of the State of São Paulo.

Four civil police officers were targeted in the operation, including the former leader of Peixe who was taken, in Santos, by the Internal Affairs of the Civil Police. According to information from Gaeco, the investigation proceeds in secret from Justice, which prevents further disclosure of details of the case and the identity of those being investigated.

During his tenure at Santos, Orlando Rollo was involved in the controversy related to the signing of Robinho (convicted for rape in Italy), in 2020. With the crowd revolt, the agreement between the parties never materialized and the player remains without a club. Rollo, at the time, claimed that the athlete was suffering ‘stoning’ and that no one should judge him.
