“Slutsky himself realized that referees often made mistakes that weren’t in his favor” – Belous

Former CEO of the football club “Moscow” Youri Belous told that the coach Leonid Slutsky his behavior caused the judges to start making mistakes in favor of his teams.

On Tuesday, Rubin reported that Slutsky, who had led the team since December 2019, had decided to step down as head coach of his own free will.

“Football itself is illogical. Yes, it would be more logical after Rubin’s departure from the RPL to put another specialist in place of Slutsky. But he had quite a high authority. Leonid Viktorovich succeeded at CSKA, coached the national team and has experience abroad, it’s understandable why Rubin’s general manager, Rustem Saimanov, believed in him.

Of course, it’s not very good when the coach leaves the team. But I think Saymanov prepared some kind of change. Especially now there will be a long break.

I wish Leonid Viktorovich a good rest. He is a talented person, he can teach, play in KVN, commentate on matches. Slutsky will find something to do with himself. To be the head coach of the RPL team, you need to have serious resistance to stress. Therefore, now it is better for him to rest, to go to a sanatorium.

Slutsky established himself as a thoughtful and authoritative coach. But lately, we could see videos where with his mouth he insulted and insulted the judges. He therefore made sure that the referees often made mistakes that were not in his favor. The judges are a closed clan community that defends the honor of their uniform.

I would like Leonid Viktorovich to be the same as he was at 34 when he was in charge of FC Moscow – thoughtful and motivated, Belous told .

Slutsky has also coached Samara Krylya Sovetov, CSKA, England’s Hull City, Dutch Vitesse and the Russian national team.
