National teams do not want to face the International Football Federation.

Team captains will not enter the field with armbands in support of the LGBT community. This was announced in a joint statement by the football federations of England, Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Wales and Switzerland.

Players from their teams will not wear the One Love captain’s armband in World Cup 2022 matches due to the risk of sanctions from FIFA.

“FIFA has made it clear that it will impose sporting sanctions if our captains wear armbands on the field of play.

We are willing to pay the penalties normally associated with equipment violations, but we cannot put our players in a situation where they may get a yellow card or have to leave the field.

We are deeply disappointed by the decision, which we believe is unprecedented. In September, we wrote a letter to FIFA informing them of our desire to wear this headband, but received no response.

The players are disappointed but will show their support in other ways,” the Evening Standard said in a statement.

It can be recalled that earlier it was reported that several teams will use the captain’s armband with the inscription One Love in the 2022 World Cup matches, in support of the LGBT community.
