It is worth mentioning that FIFA has a rule regarding these injuries involving the head region. Depending on the intensity, the referee of the match may not release the next player in the game and indicate a replacement after talking to the medical department. In this case, the change came from the athlete himself.

It is worth remembering that the match is in progress and, after the departure of the goalkeeper, Iran conceded three goals. The first half of the game against England ended 3-0 for the English, who dominated the confrontation with great tranquility. The Iranian team failed to finish against Pickford’s goal during the opening stage.

After the goalkeeper left, Iran was no longer able to meet in the match. The English followed in high intensity and scored three more goals. In this way, the team led by Gareth Southgate managed a 6-2 rout and debuted with a great victory in the World Cup.
