Ex-player of the national team of Ukraine is dissatisfied with the position of FIFA
Ex-defender of the Carpathians, Shakhtar and the national team of Ukraine Artem Fedetsky criticized the position of FIFA and, in particular, the organization’s president, Gianni Infantino, during Russia’s full-scale military invasion of Ukraine.
“When almost the whole world supports Ukraine, we are waiting for FIFA’s reaction, where there should be a disqualification, complete isolation from absolute everything, and they react in a completely different way – they sell the broadcast [ЧМ-2022] Russia. We understand that there is complete corruption, complete dependence of FIFA on Russia. And, unfortunately, this is how it happens. These are realities.”
“We see with what scandal this World Cup is taking place, with what human sacrifices these stadiums were built. It doesn’t just happen that way. Ordinary workers from Pakistan, from other countries just died on the job and it was taken for granted.”
“Also FIFA’s reaction to the events in Ukraine. They are [работники ФИФА] completely tame people. Infantino is a man who sold himself for money, sold absolutely everything he could. I don’t know how to react. I just hate everything, especially the Muscovite-Rashist. Therefore, this World Cup is absolutely not interesting for me. ”
Fedetsky also harshly walked on Infantino, accusing him of inadequacy. Note that the head of FIFA proposed to suspend hostilities for the duration of the 2022 World Cup.
“I want to say, Gianni – are you a moron or not? Will we stop the war for a month? That is, let’s let civilians die this month, but when the World Cup happens, we won’t shoot, let people live, and then we’ll continue again. This is completely inadequate. According to him, I understand only one thing – this is a corrupt person who, for money, would sell his miserable soul to anyone, perhaps even to the devil. You don’t have to pay attention to them.”
The tournament even before its start began to acquire a large number of scandals. Iranian athletes and activists have called for the removal of the Iranian national team from the World Cup for violating women’s rights in the country. Later, the Ukrainian Football Association made a similar appeal for the likely involvement of Iran in the military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
Earlier, FIFA appealed to all 32 participants in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar with an appeal not to raise political issues during the tournament.
Recall that the Association of Professional Football Players called for the players to be given the right to vote during the elections of the host countries of major tournaments. FIFPro note that in Qatar, discrimination against various people continues and human rights are violated.
Early on the morning of February 24, Russia launched rocket attacks on Ukrainian cities, and then launched a large-scale invasion. The war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine continues for the 271st day.
