England crushed Iran in the opening match World Cup 2022 — 6:2.
Before the break, Gareth Southgate’s team scored three times – Bellingham, Saka and Sterling scored. At the same time, Jude became the second youngest player in the history of England to score in the World Cup.
Iran, which lost goalkeeper Hosseini in the first half due to an injury, conceded three more times before the end of the game: Saka scored twice, and the match was summed up by substitutes Rashford and Grealish. Iran responded with Taremi’s double – one of the goals was scored already in stoppage time.
