Former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo according to the former Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas backed the Portuguese, who came under fire after a controversial interview with Piers Morgan.
The Manchester United striker has been highly critical of the club at various levels, as well as former teammates and pundits.
“People, when they talk about Cristiano, they forget what he has done. We must not forget. He knows what he has done and I would always like to have him in my team. Cristiano can always play at highest level,” Casillas said.
Ronaldo has made ten Premier League appearances this season, scoring one goal.
