A curious episode involving USA midfielder Weston McKenney happened during the World Cup second round game between England and USA.
In the 38th minute, Team USA had to kick the ball out of bounds. McKenney realized his palms were too wet, approached a photojournalist sitting behind a billboard, and wiped his hands on the front of his shirt. The media worker took this episode with a smile.
