Specialists of the analytical company Tifosy have compiled a symbolic team of the most expensive football players of the World Cup in Qatar.

Analysts followed a simple principle. Based on the classic 4-4-2 formation, they evaluated the most expensive players capable of playing in each position. The result was an interesting team, which included players from eight national teams – Belgium, Germany, Portugal, the Netherlands, England, Spain, France and Brazil, and its total value exceeded a billion dollars.

The “most expensive team of the 2022 World Cup” includes representatives of seven clubs. Interestingly, Bayern delegated the most players in the team – three players, Real Madrid and Manchester City sent two players each. One each – Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund, PSG and Barcelona.

If we talk about the division by role, then the most expensive are the midfielders. In the symbolic team of the most expensive players of the 2022 World Cup, all four midfielders have overcome the bar of 100 million euros in value. The most expensive – the Englishman Phil Foden from Manchester City – is estimated at 110 million. The average price of a midfielder playing at the World Cup in Qatar is 17.8 million euros.
