Romanian spoke about changes in the conduct of matches
Mentor Dynamo Mircea Lucescu spoke about the current 2022 World Cup and the increase in injury time in matches. According to the Romanian coach, such an innovation should also be introduced in the UPL.
“Now at the World Championships there is a tendency to increase the amount of stoppage time. We have teams that are satisfied with the score, they play for time, they make substitutions for a long time and slowly put the ball into the game.
“We need to try to take an example from the World Cup – add as much time as was spent by the opponent. Perhaps we will come to this next year. After all, such delays bring down the pace of the game.
In the matches of the 2022 World Cup, the referees, on average, compensate for at least 7-8 minutes by the main time. An increase in injury time is associated with every stoppage of the match, goal celebrations, substitutions, medical assistance, etc.
Dynamo is in third place in the UPL, but may drop lower after tomorrow’s match between Zorya and Minay. Lucescu’s team will end the calendar football year on November 30 with a meeting with Metalist.
