President Prometheus hopes to agree on a mechanism for the team’s participation in national competitions
The president Prometheus Vladimir Dubinsky said that the team intends to play in the Ukrainian Super League next season.
“It was not a very pleasant situation, but during the war we realized that we must unite in order to remain strong. We had negotiations with the federation and decided that Prometheus will continue playing in the Ukrainian Super League next season.”
“We need to be more careful, stronger. The federation also understands this, and we have made some mistakes. But our dream is to win the Eurocup, to play in the Euroleague. Sport is the most important thing. And if we can play in the Eurocup, if we can play in the Euroleague, we have to follow this path, we will try to be one of the best.”
“This is our dream and I am sure that we will find a solution with the federation, we will play in the Ukrainian championship next season. We find some points of understanding with the leadership of the federation about how this will work.
Recall that Prometheus did not confirm his participation in the championship of Ukraine without paying the entry fee. Instead of 40 thousand hryvnias, the FBU demanded 4.5 million from Prometheus, FBU President Brodsky substantiated this amount.
Ronen Ginzburg’s team plays in the Eurocup and the Latvian-Estonian Basketball League. In the next match, Prometheus will play in LEBL against the University of Latvia on December 10th.
