Misses allowed Rodrigo and Marquinhos
Croatia won Brazil in penalty shootout in a match 1/4 finals of the 2022 World Cup.
The teams did not score in the first half. After the break, Seleção threatened the Croatian team’s goal several times, but Dominik Livakovic managed to cope with the blows of Neymar and Lukas Paqueta.
At the end of the first extra-half, Brazil took the lead with Neymar, who matched Pelé’s all-time goalscoring record for the national team.
Croatia bounced back in the 117th minute. The ball after hitting Bruno Petkovic and rebounding from Marquinhos flew into Alisson’s net.
In the penalty shoot-out, the victory went to the Croatian team – 4: 2. Brazil made two misses – a shot by Rodrigo Goes was repelled by Livakovic, and Marquinhos hit the post.
In the 1/2 final Croatia will play against the winner of today’s match between the Netherlands and Argentina (beginning at 21:00). The semi-final match will take place on December 13.
