The Ukrainian Football Association spoke about the upcoming lawsuit against the aggressor country.
Russia will pay for the sports infrastructure destroyed in Ukraine. Andriy Pavelko, President of the Ukrainian Football Association, said in an interview with Football 1/2/3 that the UAF is preparing a legal claim against the aggressor country to compensate for the damage caused to the country by a military aggression.
“Today the UAF, together with all subjects of Ukrainian football, is preparing a legal claim of the Russian Federation for the damage caused by the war to our football lives. I am sure that we will cooperate with our international legal partners and auditing partner from the Big4 which is a very strong position of the Russian Federation, up to the damage the war caused to our Ukrainian football.
And I am sure that the proposed legal platform will certainly allow us to defend in all international courts the compensation for the damage caused to us by the Russian Federation in the war in which they came to our house.
I am sure that all our subjects of Ukrainian football will now unite and provide all the information so that our lawyers in the coordination center, which has been running since the first days of the war, can cope with all these issues. The case filed with the ECtHR and other international courts will definitely win, and we will definitely recoup the losses caused by the Russian Federation to our Ukrainian football, ”Pavelko said.
