Madrid defender real Madrid David Alaba recognized as the best player in Austria at the end of 2022, according to the APA agency.
According to a survey of coaches and managers of 12 Austrian Bundesliga clubs, Alaba scored 58 points, second place was taken by the Italian striker “Bologna” Marko Arnautovic (16), the third row was shared by the German’s midfielder “Leipzig” Konrad Laimer and defender of the Dutch Feyenoord Gernot Trauner (by 7).
— I am very happy and it is very important for me personally. It’s a significant award that gives reason to be proud. I know it has been a special year for me and I am happy the hard work has been recognized at home,” said the 30-year-old footballer.
Alaba received the award for the ninth time in his career.
Last season, the Austrian became champion of Spain, winner of the Champions League and the Supercopa de España.
