Premier League admits VAR errors

According to a Premier League report published by ESPN, the league admitted six VAR errors in the 146 games played before the Premier League’s current season break.

The report also mentions a goal incorrectly disallowed in the September 4 game against Manchester United – “Arsenal” against the home team, when the referee did not count Gabriel Martinelli’s goal. In the end, United won 3-1.

The report also recorded an unaccounted goal against chelsea in a game with “West Ham” in which Chelsea won 2-1.

Since the start of the season, critical refereeing decisions from all matches have been reviewed by an independent panel of three former players, one representative from the Premier League and another from PGMOL, the body responsible for professional referees in England.
