French Football Federation (FFF) President Noel Le Gré ‘wrote a letter’ to Argentine Football Association (AFA) President Chica Tapia after Argentina national team players ridiculed French national team striker Kylian Mbappé.

After the match in the locker room, Argentine soccer players mentioned Mbappe in their playful chants, and later, during the festivities in Buenos Aires, goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez held a baby-shaped doll with Mbappe’s face in his hands.
— I wrote a letter to my colleague from the Argentine Federation. I consider such excesses as abnormal in the context of sports competitions, and it is difficult for me to understand them. They go too far. Mbappé’s behavior was exemplary,” Le Gré said in an interview with Ouest-France.
