President “Barcelona” Joan Laporta answered the question about the reality of the return Lionel Messi at the club.
“I would like Messi to come back one day. I would like him to, but we can’t wait for anything. He’s a PSG player. There was a time when financial leverage was used to save the club, because he was in a very difficult situation. Now La Liga has put limits on those levers,” Laporta told club TV.
Messi’s current contract with PSG expires this summer. The striker has made 19 appearances for the team this season, scoring 12 goals and providing 14 assists.
