Mbappe overtakes Haaland as world’s most valuable player

The Manchester City forward has been in this status for less than two months.

France and PSG striker Kylian Mbappé has become the world’s most expensive player after the World Cup. These are the data of the last update of the transfer value of players from the specialized portal Transfermarkt. As of December 23, Mbappe’s transfer fee is 180 million euros, 20 million more than two months ago.

Erling Haaland, with a transfer fee of 170 million euros, dropped to second place. The Brazilian winger of Real Madrid Vinicius Junior closes the TOP-3. It should be noted that nine players at once have now overcome the bar of 100 million euros, and in the TOP-12 most expensive players, Real Madrid has the largest representation, having delegated three players, Barcelona and Manchester City, two players each.

Among the most expensive players in the world are two Argentines – Julian Alvarez, whose price has increased from 32 million to 50 million euros, as well as Enzo Fernandez, whose market value has increased from 35 to 55 million euros.

Portal specialists also note the increase in prices for Yoshko Guardiola, Cody Gakpo and Sofyana Amrabat – each of them has risen in price by 15 million euros.
