The RFU’s Dispute Resolution Chamber has drastically reduced the claims of Turin midfielder Vadim Shpinev Alexei Miranchuk who demanded from Moscow Lokomotiv 80 thousand additional euros for the transfer of his client to Atalante.
In October, Lokomotiv won a dispute with Atalanta before the Dispute Resolution Chamber of the International Football Federation (FIFA) over the delay in payments for the transfer of Miranchuk. Previously, the Italian club delayed payments, referring to the sanctions imposed on Russia. Atalanta had to settle with the Russian club within 45 days, as well as pay penalties in the amount of 5% of the amount paid for the delay.
According to , the day after receiving the money from Atalanta, the Moscow club transferred all the money owed to them to Shpinev’s account. However, Miranchuk’s agent disagreed with this amount, demanding his share of the late penalty. Shpinev estimated this amount at 80,000 euros.
– Lokomotiv, acting in good faith, has always kept in touch with the intermediary and has reported on all the steps taken by the club in connection with the receipt of funds from Atalanta. Shpinev was informed that the delay was not the fault of Lokomotiv, but due to the lack of payments from Atalanta, – said a source close to the progress of the procedure from the railway workers.
When Shpinev received a reasoned refusal from Lokomotiv, he turned to the RFU Dispute Resolution Chamber. The meeting took place this week, the lawyers of the RFU actually sided with the Moscow club: the payment to the agent was reduced by eight times, as a result, Spinev will receive 10,000 euros from Lokomotiv.
