The Argentine will sign a new contract under the scheme 1 + 1
Argentina striker Lionel Messi has extended his contract with PSG. The striker’s current contract with the club, which he joined in the summer of 2021, expired in July next year and was concluded under the 2 + 1 scheme.
According to journalist Guillem Balague, after many months of negotiations between father and agent Lionel Messi – Jorge Messi – with the director of PSG, the parties came to an agreement and an extension of the contract.
PSG are offering the Argentine a new 1+1 deal that will come into effect at the end of the season, with the player’s salary going up.
At the completed World Cup in Qatar, Messi became the best player in the tournament, and the Argentina national team won the world championship. As part of PSG, the Argentine striker played 53 matches in which he scored 23 goals and gave 29 assists.
