Agent Karima Benzema said the striker is potentially ready to play at the World Cup in Qatar.
The striker was sent home on the eve of the tournament after picking up an injury. During the World Cup, it was reported that Benzema had recovered and could return to the national team location.
The agent posted a video on social media with scans of the footballer’s injured leg.
“I consulted three specialists who confirmed the diagnosis that Benzema could be fit for the playoffs to at least be on the bench! Why did you give up so quickly? wrote Karim Jaziri.
Earlier, Benzema announced his retirement from the national team.
The France team at the World Cup in Qatar reached the final, where they lost to Argentina in a penalty shootout.
