Midfielder jesse lingard noted that he did not know why he had not played for Manchester United, a club whose system he had been in since the age of 10.
I don’t know why I didn’t play. I don’t know what the problem is. I still don’t have an answer, but I won’t ask either. I would have preferred them to be honest with me and explain everything to me, but that didn’t happen. They made me promises, but they were all false. I was training every day, I was in good shape and I was ready to play. When you do all that and end up not playing, it’s very frustrating,” Lingard told The Telegraph.
Lingard joined Nottingham Forest at the start of the season as a free agent.
