London “Arsenal” ready to erect a monument to the team’s former head coach Arsène Wenger near the Emirates club arena as early as next year, reports The telegraph .
Wenger worked with the London side from 1996 to 2018 and led the Gunners to three FA titles and seven domestic cups. After his sacking, the specialist did not attend club matches, but did come to the Premier League Matchday 17 fixture with West Ham on Monday, which the Londoners won 3-1. Arsenal fans have given the former head coach a warm welcome.
After the match, Wenger posed for a photo in the dressing room with some of the Arsenal players, and current manager Mikel Arteta said he hoped to see Wenger here more often in the future.
