In this regard, the management of Spezia decided to buy the contract of the 26-year-old player of the Ukrainian national team and signed an agreement with him until 2026.
It should be noted that the agreement of the former Shakhtar football player with Atalanta is calculated until 2025. This season, Kovalenko took part in seven matches as part of Spezia, after which he was seriously injured.
Last season, the Ukrainian midfielder recorded one goal and four assists in 27 matches for La Spezia.
