Chelsea player’s move to Tottenham could set UK women’s football transfer record

Tottenham could break the transfer record for women’s football in the UK, the north London side are set to sign Chelsea striker Bethany England for £250,000 (€283,000), reports Daily Mail .

The current record for a player changing clubs in the Women’s Super League belongs to midfielder Lauren James, who left Manchester United for Chelsea in 2021 for £200,000 (€227,000).

The record among English players who moved abroad was set by Kira Walsh, who moved from Manchester City to Barcelona this summer for around 454,000 euros.
