President Vorskla Zhevago appointed extradition arrest for 40 days

The businessman will be waiting for his shipment to Ukraine

President Vorskla and former People’s Deputy of Ukraine Konstantin Zhevago sent under extradition arrest.

The businessman will be under arrest, waiting for the decision of French law enforcement agencies to send him to Ukraine, where Zhevago is awaiting trial. It is reported that the ex-people’s deputy will spend 40 days in custody.

The other day, Zhevago was detained at the ski resort of Courchevel in the French Alps. He is suspected of embezzling the property of the Finance and Credit Bank, in which Zhevago was listed as a beneficiary, in the amount of 2.5 billion hryvnias. In December 2015, it was decided to revoke the banking license and liquidate Finance and Credit.

Since July last year, Zhevago has been on the international wanted list. The businessman also actively spoke out against the Russian military invasion of Ukraine. In the updated ranking of the richest people in Ukraine from Forbes, the president of Vorskla took fifth place.

The Poltava club is in the 9th place in the UPL standings. The head coach of Vorskla this season is Viktor Skripnik.
