Donetsk Miner ready to sell Internacional central brazilian defender Vitao for 10 million euros.
The centre-back is reportedly a priority target for the Brazilian club. Despite good relations between the clubs, in an informal conversation, a Shakhtar representative said that the Pitmen are asking for 10 million euros for the player, but this amount exceeds the financial capabilities of Internacional and the deal may not take place.
Earlier it was reported that Shakhtar could sell the defender to Internacional for 4.5 million euros.
Now Vitao plays for the club from Porto Alegre on loan. The contract runs until the summer of 2023, while Vitao’s contract with Shakhtar is valid until the summer of 2024.
In the summer, the Pitmen demanded that Vitao return to the team, but the player remained in Brazil. In turn, Internacional considered the possibility of buying out the defender’s contract for 2.5 million euros. The defender himself said he wanted to stay in the Brazilian team.
Vitao has made 38 appearances for Colorado this season in all competitions and scored two goals. Internacional finished second in the Brazilian Serie A.
