Twice a member of iconic World Championship teams. Double winner of the Intercontinental Cup and the Libertadores Cup, winner of the Intercontinental Champions Super Cup, ten-time champion of the state of Sao Paulo, four-time winner of the Rio Sao Paulo tournament as part of Santos.
From 1995 to 1998 he was Minister of Sports of Brazil.
