Soccer club “Ufa” managed to solve the financing problem and partially repay the debts, said Ruslan Khabibov, chairman of the club’s board of directors.
On Tuesday, a meeting of the club’s board of directors took place, during which the funding problems were resolved.
– To date, the main problem has been solved – the financing of FC Ufa. As part of the Premier League, it will consist of two parts, both budgetary and non-budgetary. Our main task today is to pay off those debts that have been accumulating lately. Some of these debts have been fully repaid, including interest from the regional fund. It is certainly the basis. We follow this principle – in the new calendar year without debts.
The budget was presented by the head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov. We are working on a plan of 200 million rubles from the budget of the republic, plus 200 million rubles from non-budgetary sources. Also, what the club earns, but we’ll leave that out of the budget. I want to say that the Ufa football club has always been able to make money, it has always been good at it, but in the current conditions it is certainly more difficult to do so, but the practice of Shamil Kamilovich (Gazizov) has when to attract sponsorship funds will continue to be used. Therefore, the funding budget will be more than 400 million rubles,” the Ufa press service quoted Khabibov as saying.
At the end of August, information appeared about the possible interruption of Ufa’s performance in the MELBET-First League due to financial problems. In October, the club’s general manager, Shamil Gazizov, confirmed to that the Ufa club had notified employees of a possible reduction in 2 months. At the same time, Gazizov noted that “there are no salary arrears, but there are financial difficulties.”
