Hospitalized since the end of November, the greatest player of all time died in the Albert Einstein Hospitalin the city of Sao Paulo. Since September 2021, the King of Football has been treating colon cancer. The information was confirmed by the former player’s family.
Due to the health problem, Pelé attended the hospital once a month. The last trip to the site, however, was more delicate. Without responding to the chemotherapy, the King of Football now has only palliative care, with the aim of avoiding pain. In addition, he needed to treat a respiratory infection. The cause of death was multiple organ failure.
