So far there is no official announcement about the future of the specialist in Ukraine.

The contract of the head coach of the Ukrainian national team Oleksandr Petrakov with the Ukrainian Football Association has officially expired.

The specialist led the country’s main team on August 18, 2021 in acting status, and signed a full agreement on November 17. The contract is calculated until the end of 2022.

So far, UAF has not made an official statement about the future of the 65-year-old coach. There are no messages either about continuing cooperation, or about parting with him. The parties have the opportunity to extend the contract for another cycle.

Recall that Petrakov replaced Andriy Shevchenko in the Ukrainian national team and spent 15 matches against the leader of the Blue-and-Yellows. Under his leadership, the national team secured second place in the qualifying group for the 2022 World Cup, but lost to Wales in the play-off final. Also, the Ukrainian national team finished in second place in its quartet of Division B of the League of Nations, where it was opposed by Scotland, Ireland and Armenia.
