The Ukrainian, seeded under the first number, lost to the British Watson
Ukrainian tennis player Katerina Beindl lost in 1/16 finals ITF W60 Tournament in Australian Canberra.
Beindl, who received the first seeding number, lost to the British in 1 hour and 13 minutes Heather Watson. In the first set, with the score 4:4, the Ukrainian gave up her serve and eventually lost the set. In the second game, Katerina lost without a chance, giving up three of her innings in a row.
Earlier, Ukrainian tennis player Daria Snigur made it to the 1/8 finals of the tournament in Canberra. In the first round match, Snigur defeated the fourth seeded Simone Waltert from Switzerland.
Today another Ukrainian Lesya Tsurenko will play in Canberra.
Recall that Beindl and Dayana Yastremskaya topped the reserve list for getting into the main draw of the Australian Open-2023.
