Athletistic/ Football. FIFA President Gianni Infantino has called for a stadium in every country to be renamed in honor of Pele.
The official said so during the legendary Brazilian’s farewell ceremony.
“I feel a lot of emotions: I’m sad, but I’m smiling because Pelé gave us a lot of smiles. We at FIFA will honor the King and ask the whole world to honor him with a minute of silence.
Additionally, we intend to call on every country in the world to name at least one stadium after Pele, so our children know how important it is,” Globo said citing Infantino.
Pelé died at the age of 82 on December 29, 2022.
