The main goal is to become a champion again
Promoter Eddie Hearn commented on the upcoming plans of the ex-world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.
“He wants to come back to face a top 15 guy. Then in the summer there will probably be a fight against Dillian Whyte and then a mega fight with Deontay Wilder.”
“The plan now is to rebuild him to become a three-time world heavyweight champion. You have to be brave, go out and fight Wilder. But there has to be a plan, a smart plan.”
“Joshua is ready to start camp and will most likely start this camp this week. Now the most important thing is to put together the right training team.”
Hearn previously revealed that Joshua would fight his next fight in March-April. Joshua also wants to enter the ring in his next fight with Dillian Whyte. WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury says he’s ready to fight Joshua for free.
Recall that in his last fight in August, Joshua lost by split decision to Ukrainian boxer, WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk.
