Portuguese striker from the Saudi club An Nasr Cristiano Ronaldo has the chance to play in the Champions League again, according to Marca.
According to the source, there is a clause in his contract that in the event of an exit Newcastle in the Champions League, Ronaldo could be loaned out there as the club is also owned by the Saudi Public Investment Fund.
Ronaldo is the all-time top scorer in the Champions League with 140 goals. Argentinian world champion Lionel Messi has 129.
An-Nasr last week announced a contract with Ronaldo until the summer of 2025. Five-time Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldo left Manchester United in November after a controversial interview in which he said he would not had no respect for the team’s head coach Eric ten Hag and criticized the team.
Newcastle are third in the Premier League table with 34 points from 17 appearances, while four teams qualify directly for the Champions League from England.
