Lesya called Russia a “terrorist country”
Ukrainian tennis player Lesya Tsurenko spoke about the military invasion of the Russian Federation. The athlete regularly follows the news and events in her native country.

But every time I stop myself, because I love both Kyiv and Ukraine very much and, probably, too much that if I go there, I won’t be able to leave. Or it will be very emotional for me. So for the time being I decide not to go there. Emotionally very hard. I live by the news from Ukraine, I constantly follow every smallest detail, I watch a lot of different videos, analytics, in fact, I live by this in between workouts.”
“If we talk about me, then I perceive all events very painfully. Especially when it’s news of the dead. It’s just plain awful.
