The Blues are ready to pay the Ukrainian a higher salary than the Gunners
Chelsea wants to compete with Arsenal in the race for Shakhtar’s winger Mikhail Mudrikby offering him big salarythan the Cannoneers.
According to journalist Nicolo Schira, Chelsea are ready to pay the Ukrainian 7.5 million euros a year, while Arsenal previously offered Mudrik 5.5 million euros + bonuses for a contract until 2028.
The club from Stamford Bridge offers Shakhtar 80 million euros for the transfer of Mudrik.
Earlier there was information that Chelsea could intercept Mudrik from Arsenal, and Shakhtar’s football director Darijo Srna will meet Chelsea representatives this week.
Recall that the Gunners are ready to pay the amount that will satisfy the Pitmen – about 85 million pounds.
This season, Mudryk has played in 18 matches for Shakhtar, scoring 10 goals and providing eight assists.
Arsenal lead the Premier League, 8 points ahead of Manchester City, while Chelsea are in 10th place, 10 points behind the top 4.
