Borussia Mönchengladbach did not receive an official offer
Bavaria agreed a personal contract with the goalkeeper of Borussia M Jan Sommer.
At the same time, the Monchengladbach club did not receive an official offer for the keeper. The transfer will take place if Borussia M quickly finds a suitable replacement for the Swiss. It was reported that the amount of the transfer could reach five million euros.
Recall that Bayern is looking for a replacement for Manuel Neuer, who will not play until the end of the season due to a broken shin. Munich goalkeeper Alexander Nübel, who is on loan for Monaco, had previously refused to return to Germany in January, believing he could not be guaranteed practice after Neuer’s reinstatement.
Sommer moved to Borussia in the summer of 2014 from Basel. This season he has played in 15 matches for the German team, conceding 19 goals and keeping clean sheets four times. Sommer has a contract with Borussia until the summer of 2023.
Bayern are leading the Bundesliga, four points ahead of their nearest rival. Borussia M is in eighth place in the German championship.
