Kryvbas signed a two-year contract with ex-winger Zarya Lunev

Maxim became the first newcomer of the Kryvyi Rih residents in the new year

Kryvbas signed a two-year contract with the winger Maxim Lunev. The former player of Zorya became the first newcomer of Kryvyi Rih in 2023 and will play under the 14th number.

“We wanted to sign Lunev at the beginning of the season, but then for various reasons it did not work out. We are glad to welcome Maxim in Kryvbas. We are glad that he finally joined us. Yuri Nikolayevich is well acquainted with the player from his work at Zara and knows his potential very well. I think this will help Maxim to adapt to our team as quickly as possible,” said Vladimir Baenko, general director of the club.

Lunev terminated the contract with Zorya in early January by agreement of the parties. The 24-year-old footballer has been playing for the Luhansk team since 2017, including under the current head coach of Kryvbas Yuriy Vernidub.

The winger has made 11 appearances in all competitions this season, but hasn’t scored.

Kryvbas takes eighth place in the UPL. In the first match after the resumption of the championship, the Vernydub team will host Kolos on March 4.
