The agreement is valid until the end of 2023
Corinthians announced the loan of midfielder Miner Maicon.
The player has signed a new agreement valid until the end of December 2023. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but it was reported that Corinthians would pay the Miners €500,000 for the loan and would have the first right to buy the football player in the event of offers from other clubs.
Initially, representatives of Timau were negotiating with Shakhtar to buy the player. The miners were ready to sell Maicon for 4-5 million euros.
The Brazilian midfielder’s agreement with Shakhtar is valid until the summer of 2025. The midfielder moved to the Donetsk club in the summer of 2018. Maicon has 98 matches and 8 goals for the Pitmen.
Corinthians finished 4th in the Brazilian Serie A. In 2022, Maicon played for Timau in 26 matches and scored 2 goals in all competitions.
