This regulation establishes minimum service criteria between agents and their clients. Although the process begins next Monday, a transition period which lasts until October 1 of this year. As of this day, only licensed soccer agents can be hired and the agent commission limit will apply.
FIFA adds that the approval of the Agents Regulations stems from an open consultation process developed by world football’s governing body since 2018, in which “all relevant interested parties” participated. “Several institutions and organizations have publicly expressed their support for FIFA’s reform and consultation process regarding the Regulations,” they mention.
