Defender liverpool Virgil Van Dijk will be forced to miss the team’s next games.
The footballer injured his hamstrings during the match of the 19th day of the English championship against Brentford (1-3).
“It’s a surprise for us and obviously a blow. The diagnosis was quite severe and we are talking about weeks, more than a month, but I hope everything will pass quickly. He’s never had a muscle problem before,” Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said.
Van Dijk, 31, has made 24 appearances for the club in all competitions this season, scoring two goals.
